The following products are derived from the Subset
SST algorithm.
For each lake and Sea region, the pixel with
valid values are overlaid on the SST map of the previous day of the
same pass time, but only if their total area within the lake is greater
than 5% of the surface of the specific lake. If the coverage is
within 5% and 20%: only the pixel values of the previous day which are
not available are replaced with the current values. If the number of
the valid pixels is greater than 20% of the lake, then the
average temperature for the valid area is computed both from the new
pixels and from the SST dataset from the previous day. For pixels which
are not covered in the previous day dataset, the
current pixels are used for the SST product. The new SST dataset is
filtered with a 9x9 moving window average. If no data from previous day
is available: the raw Subset
SST product is used as straight guess for the previous day. The
multi day composite is built using the corresponding previous 4 day
multi day composite data.

If the current satellite pass was cloudy over the specific lake during the defined compositing time range, the next available datasets is taken as a substitute. These plots show the most recent statistical
information for the current day for the
specific lakes based on Subset
SST algorithm. Mean, Minimum, Maximum and the Variance information
over the whole lake are available. In addition, the number_of_pixel
(available cloud free water pixel in each lake) plot represents
the size of the sample from which those statistical parameters have
been calculated. The latest daily plots can be found under 'last 7
days' or archive for older plots: Naming convention:
'year(2digits)'_'month'_'day'_'parameter'.
These plots show the most recent statistical
information for the current day for the
specific lakes based on the Subset SST Composite
